monitorQA is used across different industries to audit various things. Those things being audited are called "Audit Objects" in our system. They could be stores, work sites, vehicles, pieces of equipment, or production lines. Anything that can be audited or inspected can be an audit object.
We've made this feature highly customizable, allowing customers to name the audit object however they prefer. You can customize it by going to settings and then clicking ‘General’. From there, you can navigate to the bottom selection to choose the label for your audit Object.
In this tutorial example, we’ve named it ‘Sites’
Let's see how you can add and manage audit objects in monitorQA.
To start, open up the Object(Sites) option on the left hand menu, and click on "List".
In this section you'll see a list of existing audit objects - assuming you previously added them to the system. To add a new object(site) simply click on the "New Site (Object)" button in the top right corner, and a new form will show up on the right hand side allowing you to add a few fields
- Name - first, enter the name of your audit object. You should probably use something that's recognizable by your other users and especially auditors.
- Tags - choose some tags, if applicable. If you haven't created any tags, then just skip this step.
- Participants - choose the users that will need to be notified about the audit results for this audit object. You can choose one or more users.
- Location - if the audit object is a physical location (e.g. a restaurant, a store, etc), then you can toggle the location option to be “on” and input the address of the location. Once you do that, and you enter the address, you’ll be able to see it on the map. This is a completely optional step, and it is helpful if your auditors are doing audits in many different locations.
To finish, simply click on the "Add Site(Object)” button at the bottom and that's it. Your new audit Site (Object) will show in the list.
By clicking on the three dots icon on the right-hand side, you'll be presented with options to edit an audit object, or delete it if it's no longer needed.
If your new audit object(site) is in the system, then you'll be able to schedule an audit for it.
