The Photo Watermarking feature in monitorQA enhances audit transparency by automatically marking photos with how, when, and where they were added. This is especially useful for maintaining the integrity of inspections and ensuring your team is capturing photos in real time.
Once enabled, every photo added to an audit under a specific template will include a watermark with:
- “Added from camera” (taken live during the audit)
- “Added from gallery” (uploaded from the device's photo library)
- Date and Time:
- When the photo was added to the checklist
To activate this feature for a specific template:
- Log in to your monitorQA admin dashboard.
- Navigate to the Templates section.
- Select the template you want to update.
- Click Edit and go to the Build tab.
- Scroll to the bottom and toggle on the option:
“Add a watermark to photos” - Click Save to apply changes.
Once enabled, every photo uploaded under this template — during audits in the field — will be watermarked automatically.
When conducting an audit:
- Open the checklist as usual on the mobile app.
- Add a photo to any question using your camera or photo library.
- The photo will automatically display a watermark with:
- The source (“Added from camera” or “Added from gallery”)
- The exact date and time it was uploaded
