Adding sliders in monitorQA is a quick and easy response type for auditors and inspectors to indicate a score on a particular item.
In order to create a slider, first, you will need to build an Audit Template or edit an existing Audit Template.
In the ‘response type’ dropdown, choose “Slider”.
Next, you will select how many increments you want to make the slider as well as the range. In the example below, we have increments of 1 and a range from 1 - 10.
The next step is to create ranges of values. Each range of values can produce a different score for the audit, and it can trigger a failed response to the question.
You should create the value ranges starting from the lowest value to the highest value.
Select the “+” symbol to add more ranges.
Indicate the cut-off values for each range to make sure there are no overlaps and make sure to set the value increments from lowest to highest.
In order to ensure there are no overlapping values, use “less than or equal to” or “greater than or equal to” so it does not conflict with the adjacent range.
Decimals
Values in the ranges can be extended to three decimal places. When using decimals, it is important to make sure values are adjacent, but not overlapping to the same decimal place.
If you’re giving a score of 0, simply move the slider forward and then back to 0 to register the value.
Publishing Changes
Keep in mind, you will get errors along the way until the validation of values are completed.
Once the values are set and the red barriers are gone you may complete the slider and “Save Draft” or “Publish”
